They get the defense and utility of three classes (Templar skills, Mage skills, Prophet skills) without hurting their damage output much at all, and can heal to 100% with one cast of Cauterize. Maybe two or three, if you stack melee gems.Ĭasters, on the other hand, are stuipd broken and stand above every other class in PvP. If you're brought to 30% health or below with a Warrior's initial onslaught (which is likely Adrenaline Rush > Bane > Hailstorm), they're just going to use Reap and kill you instantly (since it deals ridiculous damage with the talent), or leave you so low that any other ability they use will kill you. However if one mistake is made (literally one mistake), a Warrior will likely kill you. If played 100% to their fullest, a Ranger would have the upper hand due to being able to stay out of melee range longer than a Warrior can stay in melee range. You can always make friends who can craft armor or weapons for you, but for healing yourself, it will save you a lot of money if you can just craft your own potions.Rangers stand about equal with Warriors in terms of PvP survivability (1v1 scenario). P.S.: Don't worry about bosses, they will almost never oneshot you, but it is still very necessary for you to have a tank and/or healer in the group, or you will likely be using up a whole lot of potions.Īlso, alchemy is a good skill to get into as a warrior. Really, the whole idea is to defeat your enemy quickly before they defeat you, and to be smart about it, since warriors do not have much sustainability on their own. Overall, the most important thing to do as a warrior later on will be to manage mobs effectively, meaning being able to lure them until they are grouped nicely, quickly AOE stun them, and then dispatch them with the rest of your AOE attacks. The only time haste is maybe not so important is if you are doing a pure PVP build, in which case you might build more single-target, low-cooldown skill talents. Also, as a warrior, the haste will allow you to spam your AOE skills much faster, making you that much more useful in your role. I wouldn't really underestimate haste too much though, since later on you get plenty of large cooldown skills, so the haste will really make a big difference. Crit rate is generally pretty good on warriors, again, you can always get gems to increase it if necessary, and the final skill in the warrior skill tree also gives you a large critical hit chance boost for a duration. I'm also putting 7 points into the 'rogue' skill to grab the haste buff as well, so that additional hit chance from the tier 1 of that talent tree will make sure you pretty much never miss any attacks. Keep in mind, however, that haste affects the actual cooldown of skills, and not not base cooldown, meaning that if you get a talent that reduces cooldown, the haste will reduce a percentage of the new cooldown, and not the base cooldown.Īs far as accuracy goes, I've never had an issue with it.

The melee haste only affects skills, but it is very effective when you are using many skills with 15+ second cooldowns. I am a 31 warrior, and I've put all my points in melee, since you can always increase your health through gems if you really need it. it seems rather lackluster, and nearly useless to put 4 points in to for the talent. Does "Melee Haste" (granted via points in Melee, and also the "Inner Rage" talent that increases MH by 2/4/6/8%) only decrease cooldowns by a marginal amount, or does it also increase melee swing time? If it only reduces cooldowns by a marginal amount. However, unless we're talking 50%+ with equipment alone, I can see Focus still being valuable to a point.Īlso something else I'm curious about: melee haste. While I can understand the hit chance portion being good enough from high-end equipment, what about -critical rating-? If it, too, is good enough in high-end equipment, I can understand ignoring Focus entirely. How much Vit is enough? Obviously you can't gimp it too much, because as melee, you're going to be taking damage even with a tank in the group (if an area effect is used by a boss), and you don't want to be "that guy" that goes down in one shot.Ģ.

I've also seen people suggest ignoring Focus entirely, as your hit chance is good enough in decent equipment at the max level.ġ. I've seen a 4:2 ratio suggested for Vit/Melee, and also 5:1.

So I've been seeing conflicting tatements about Warrior stat allocation.
